The European Banking Authority (EBA) published final draft Implementing Technical Standards (ITS) for a centralised EBA Pillar 3 data hub that will make institutions’ prudential disclosures available through a single electronic access point on the EBA website, as mandated under the Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR3) and Capital Requirements Directive (CRD6) Banking Package. The ITS set out the IT solutions and submission processes for large and other institutions, including required data exchange formats and the technical validations to be performed by the EBA. Institutions will have a transition period for disclosures with reference dates from June to December 2025, and the EBA expects to publish an onboarding communication plan with further operational detail by the end of the first quarter of 2025. The final draft also reflects lessons from a voluntary pilot exercise and feedback received during consultation. A separate consultation on draft ITS covering small and non-complex institutions and the resubmission policy is intended to be launched in the first half of 2025.
