The Central Bank of Peru reported that non-traditional textile exports totalled USD 142 million in February 2025, up 25.4% year on year. Export volumes increased 21.5% year on year in February, extending the sector’s expansion to 11 consecutive months, driven mainly by higher exports of cotton clothing to the United States and alpaca or llama wool products. The export price rose 3.2% year on year in February. On a cumulative basis, textile exports reached USD 280 million in January to February, a 17.4% increase from the same period a year earlier, led primarily by a 15.8% rise in volumes and, to a lesser extent, a 1.4% increase in prices.

Cumulative textile exports for January and February totalled USD 280 million, up 17.4% from the previous year.
