The Superintendency of Banking, Insurance and Pension Funds Administrators of Peru has called on the public to report suspected corruption and ethical misconduct that may involve SBS officials or employees, using the Citizen’s Single Digital Complaints Platform. The authority highlighted that the platform supports reporting while protecting the complainant’s information, including the option to remain anonymous. The SBS indicated that any citizen can report irregular conduct they have witnessed or become aware of, including misappropriation or improper use of resources, undue favouritism, influence peddling, obtaining improper advantages, breaches of integrity and transparency rules, abuse of authority, and other acts contrary to ethics. It also linked reporting to promoting integrity in public entities and reiterated its functions around safeguarding the stability of supervised systems, contributing to anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing prevention, supporting financial inclusion, and protecting users’ interests and rights.
