The Capital Markets Board of Türkiye hosted the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) Committee 1 meeting on accounting, auditing and public disclosure at Borsa Istanbul, bringing together regulators and international stakeholders to discuss current issues in these areas and their implications for the committee’s work. Nearly 50 participants from 20 committee member countries attended, alongside representatives of international stakeholder organisations outside the committee. The programme ran from 7–10 July 2025, with subcommittee sessions and working groups on sustainability and valuation on 7–8 July followed by the Committee 1 main meeting on 9–10 July. Agenda items included incorporating IOSCO’s sustainability work into Committee 1, focus on non-GAAP financial measures, and review of dialogues with relevant bodies including the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), informed by outcomes from other international organisations active in accounting and auditing.
