The Single Resolution Board has published the official report of its Single Resolution Mechanism (SRM) 10th Anniversary Conference, held in Brussels on 15 October 2025, capturing discussions on the SRM’s first decade and the challenges for the next 10 years. The hybrid event convened policymakers, supervisors, resolution authorities, industry representatives and international partners, with more than 400 participants on site and 4,100 online. The report covers panels on SRM achievements, global cooperation in bank resolution, completing the Banking Union, liquidity in resolution, emerging risks including cyber threats and digitalisation, and the shift towards operational crisis readiness under SRM Vision 2028. It cites Europe’s build-up of more than EUR 2.6 trillion in loss-absorbing capacity and an EUR 80 billion Single Resolution Fund, while reflecting speakers’ view that further work is needed to complete the Banking Union, strengthen preparedness and adapt to a rapidly changing financial landscape.
