The European Central Bank published its weekly financial statement, reporting total assets and liabilities of EUR 6,209,218 million. Compared with the prior week, movements reflected transactions of minus EUR 14,686 million and quarter-end adjustments of plus EUR 153,065 million. On the asset side, gold and gold receivables stood at EUR 1,128,546 million, with the weekly change dominated by quarter-end adjustments of EUR 156,071 million. Securities of euro area residents denominated in euro totalled EUR 4,168,246 million, including EUR 3,865,561 million held for monetary policy purposes, with declines of EUR 1,483 million from transactions and EUR 5,120 million from quarter-end adjustments. Lending to euro area credit institutions related to monetary policy operations was EUR 19,885 million, including EUR 8,844 million in main refinancing operations and EUR 11,041 million in longer-term refinancing operations. On the liability side, banknotes in circulation rose to EUR 1,591,429 million, while monetary policy liabilities to euro area credit institutions fell to EUR 2,768,366 million as the deposit facility decreased to EUR 2,592,478 million despite an increase in current accounts to EUR 175,888 million. Revaluation accounts increased to EUR 1,099,971 million, reflecting quarter-end adjustments of EUR 152,429 million.
