Greece's Ministry of National Economy and Finance published an article by Eurogroup President and Minister of National Economy and Finance Kyriakos Pierrakakis setting out his priorities for the Eurogroup presidency, framing it as a policy tool aimed at delivering greater economic security, stronger growth, social cohesion and strategic autonomy in a rapidly changing environment. The article also links the Eurogroup role to Greece’s position a decade after the peak of the sovereign debt crisis, pointing to fiscal credibility, steady growth, falling unemployment and restored confidence from partners and markets. It argues that Eurogroup decisions should translate into practical outcomes for citizens, including more and better jobs, meaningful access to financing for businesses, support for younger people and a Europe that inspires confidence.
