The European Banking Authority has published a draft technical package for version 4.2 of its reporting framework, as an early release to support reporting entities’ preparation for the transition to the Data Point Model (DPM) 2.0 standard and the introduction of a fully enhanced semantic glossary. Feedback is invited on both the draft technical package and the new glossary. The new DPM 2.0 glossary is now completed and applies across the entire reporting framework, with the aim of streamlining terminology and improving consistency in reporting requirements. The draft technical package includes validation rules, DPM and XBRL taxonomies, and covers a comprehensive revision of the Implementing Technical Standards on resolution planning, new Capital Requirements Regulation and Capital Requirements Directive (CRR3/CRD6) reporting in COREP for operational risk own funds, updates to the ITS on the identification and transmission of minimum requirements for own funds and eligible liabilities (MREL) information by resolution authorities to the EBA, and changes to supervisory benchmarking for market risk. Comments and suggested issue fixes are requested by 19 September 2025. The final version of the 4.2 technical package is scheduled for publication in November 2025 and may incorporate corrections arising from stakeholder review.
