The Norwegian Financial Supervisory Authority (Finanstilsynet) has published the programme for a seminar on 5 June 2025 focused on vulnerabilities and risks in Norway’s financial system, banks’ ability to withstand severe stress, and whether regulation or supervisory practices can be simplified without weakening resilience or other key considerations. The agenda includes a presentation of Finanstilsynet’s Financial Outlook report and its annual stress test of Norwegian banks, a roundup of supervisory experience and findings from more than 60 completed inspections in banks and insurance companies during 2024 and so far in 2025, and an update on the authority’s work on simplification and proportionality in light of initiatives at European, Nordic and Norwegian levels. The event is hosted at Sentralen in central Oslo, with in-person registration closed; the seminar can be followed online from 09:00 and a recording will be made available afterwards.
