Poland's Ministry of Finance announced that the Council of Ministers has adopted a draft law to change how official reminders are delivered under Employee Capital Plans (PPK). Instead of paper letters, calls to conclude a PPK management agreement would be sent to employers through their accounts in the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) system. The change would replace the current postal reminder sent by the Polish Development Fund when an employer that is required to offer PPK has not concluded a management agreement with a selected financial institution. Notices would be electronically signed, for example with a trusted signature, and treated as served either on the date they are read in the ZUS account or 14 days after they are made available, even if the account is not opened. Employers would still have 30 days from service of the notice to conclude the PPK management agreement. The proposed rules would enter into force 14 days after publication in the Journal of Laws.
