Mexico's National Commission for the Protection and Defense of Users of Financial Services (CONDUSEF) granted digital financial services platform Kueski the Commitment Badge for Serving Older Adults, making it the first non-regulated multiple-purpose financial institution (SOFOM E.N.R.) and fully digital firm to receive the recognition. The badge recognises efforts to provide accessible financial services, priority attention and dignified treatment for older adults. CONDUSEF noted that Kueski has provided close to 800,000 loans to older people and has implemented CONDUSEF’s 10 basic principles for serving this segment, supported by staff training. Measures highlighted include obtaining credit without leaving home, no age-based restrictions on access, fraud protection and a favourable approach in identity-theft cases, preferential interest rates, priority customer service, adapted digital experiences and ongoing financial education. CONDUSEF said it will continue promoting actions and strategic collaborations with financial institutions, including fully digital providers, to support secure and accessible services for older adults and encourage better practices across the sector.
