Indonesia's Financial Services Authority (OJK) held a financial education session for the central leadership and members of Dharma Pertiwi (the Indonesian National Armed Forces’ organisation for spouses) as part of its efforts to raise financial literacy and inclusion among women as a priority segment. OJK’s Executive Head for Supervision of Financial Services Business Conduct, Education and Consumer Protection, Friderica Widyasari Dewi, highlighted women’s role in managing household finances and in teaching children financial skills. She also urged participants to be cautious when using app-based financial services products given the prevalence of illegal investment offers and digital financial scams, and to protect personal data. The hybrid event was attended by Dharma Pertiwi Chair Evi Agus Subiyanto and 2,500 members across Indonesia, with Dharma Pertiwi noting the session’s focus on improving household financial management and helping families prepare for risks such as emergencies or changes in income.
