Bank of Indonesia announced the conclusion of the 12th Indonesia Sharia Economic Festival (ISEF) 2025, reporting financing and trade business matching plus sales turnover of IDR 3.1 trillion, up from IDR 2 trillion a year earlier. The event, held on 8–12 October 2025 in Jakarta, drew 89,000 visitors (in-person and online) and involved more than 700 sharia businesses and institutions across the halal industry, micro, small and medium enterprises, Islamic finance, the creative economy, and domestic and international investors. ISEF 2025 comprised 22 domestic and international forums, 28 exhibitions on halal products and business linkages, 30 talk shows and community activities, and 20 competitions, delivered in collaboration with 34 government ministries and agencies and 30 international partners. Programming was organised across four clusters covering halal industry and sharia business (including business matching, trade and investment forums and the Halal Expo), sharia finance and investment (including Islamic financial markets, green sukuk and Islamic social finance), social and education initiatives (including youth entrepreneurship and innovation competitions), and an art, culture and halal lifestyle exhibition; competition winners and the ISEF Award 2025 were announced at the closing ceremony. Looking ahead, Bank of Indonesia said it will continue to develop ISEF as a global collaborative platform focused on digitalisation, innovative financing and strengthening Indonesia’s halal value chain.
