The Central Bank of the Republic of San Marino has scheduled two 2026 sessions of its proficiency assessment tests in finance (PVIF) and insurance (PVIA), which are valid for registration in the public registers for supervised professions, including financial promoters/consultants and insurance distribution managers. The same sessions will also host any Specific Integrative Tests (TIS) on San Marino regulation for individuals already registered on the basis of an equivalent foreign qualification, with participation limited to recipients of a personal convocation notice. For PVIF, the Central Bank set sittings for 20 March 2026 and 25 September 2026 (09:30–12:00 at its headquarters) and published the examination rules. Admission requires being of legal age and paying a non-refundable EUR 200 registration fee, with applications due by 6 March 2026 for the March sitting and 11 September 2026 for the September sitting; each session is capped at 18 participants across PVIF, PVIA and TIS, with additional extraordinary sessions possible if demand exceeds capacity. The PVIF is a written test of 50 single-answer multiple-choice questions (two hours and 30 minutes) with a pass mark of 30/50, and successful candidates receive an attestation that can be used to support applications for registration as a financial promoter or as an independent financial adviser (Section A), although passing the test does not in itself secure registration.
