The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo published its April 2025 balance sheet, central bank statement and reserve assets statistics, reporting total assets of EUR 1.79bn at end-April, up EUR 132.69m from March. The increase was attributed mainly to higher deposits from the Kosovo budget (Treasury account), pension funds, commercial banks, the Deposit Insurance Fund, the Kosovo Privatization Agency and public non-financial corporations. Within total assets, investments in deposits and securities abroad stood at EUR 1.27bn as of 30 April 2025, up EUR 99.04m month on month, with deposits increasing by EUR 109.00m and securities holdings decreasing by EUR 9.95m. Deposits at the central bank totalled EUR 1.50bn, comprising EUR 482.65m from the Kosovo budget, EUR 639.12m from commercial banks, EUR 178.69m from the Kosovo Privatization Agency and EUR 197.95m from other sources; central bank capital was EUR 127.92m. International reserve assets reached EUR 1.34bn, up EUR 111.39m, driven mainly by a EUR 125.94m increase in deposits and an EUR 8.64m decline in investments in securities.
