Poland's Ministry of Finance published an account of Finance and Economy Minister Andrzej Domański's remarks at Impact'26 in Poznań, where he outlined a 10 year objective for Poland to become one of Europe's three most influential and strongest economies. He linked that ambition to investment in modern technologies, innovation, energy security and stronger competitiveness for Polish companies in international markets. In a debate on global economic prospects with International Monetary Fund Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, Domański tied Poland's economic rise to earlier reforms and European Union membership, saying GDP would be about 40 percent lower without joining the EU and noting growth from USD 67 billion in 1989 to USD 1 trillion in 2025. The event also featured a Poland of the Future zone, a joint project with the Ministry of Development and Technology and public development institutions, showcasing capital markets, support for innovative firms, the energy transition, space technologies and artificial intelligence as new growth drivers.
