The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic has closed its 12th Economic and Financial Week 2026 (#sefBCRD), a financial and economic education programme delivered under its Aula Central social responsibility initiative and linked to Global Money Week, reporting 10,082 visitors. A total of 58 public and private institutions ran 181 educational activities at the central bank’s sites in Santo Domingo and Santiago de los Caballeros and at the Eduardo León Jimenes (Santiago) and Perelló (Baní) cultural centres. The central bank reported cumulative reach of 61,603 visitors across the 12 editions since 2014, with more than 1,000 activities. This edition expanded coverage with two days of programming in Baní and, for the first time, four days in Santiago’s Eduardo León Jimenes centre, and circulated children’s publications including the central bank’s “Rojilandia” alongside works from AFP Crecer and AFP Siembra, under the theme “Smart Money Talks.”
