Angola's Ministry of Finance published highlights from the presentation of BODIVA’s Annual Markets Report, pointing to a sharp increase in capital markets activity and funding raised. BODIVA executives reported that AOA 417 billion was mobilised over the past four years and that market transactions reached 37,000 in 2025. Trading activity rose from around 5,000 deals in 2023 to double that in 2024, before expanding further in 2025. Among members, BFA Capital Markets was cited as having traded AOA 1.98 trillion. The central securities depository recorded 12,931 custody accounts in 2025, a 60% increase versus 2024, and held AOA 17.14 trillion for 41,000 investors; it integrated 40 issuances (33 sovereign and seven private), including Etu Energias corporate bonds of AOA 73 billion and a BAI bond issuance that ended in January 2026. BODIVA also reported a record single-session traded amount exceeding AOA 291 billion and said the primary market saw the largest public offering ever in Angola and the largest in Africa.
