Luxembourg Finance Minister Gilles Roth signed a memorandum of understanding with Vietnamese Finance Minister Ngo Van Tuan to strengthen cooperation between the countries’ financial centers. The agreement focuses on sharing expertise, supporting financial innovation, developing talent and creating sustainable economic opportunities. During a financial mission to Vietnam from Oct. 11-13, Roth also discussed capital markets, digital finance and sustainable finance with representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange. Separate talks addressed cooperation between Luxembourg’s financial center and the planned Vietnam International Financial Centre, building on a 2022 sustainable finance agreement between the Luxembourg and Ho Chi Minh City stock exchanges.
