The Argentina Securities Commission (CNV) reported that its president, Roberto E. Silva, took part in two Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) meetings in Paris, covering corporate sustainability practices and corporate governance. The engagement focused on current trends in non-financial disclosure, sustainability standards and capital markets development, including regulatory proportionality issues in Latin America. At the OECD Roundtable on Corporate Sustainability Practices, participants discussed the 2025 Global Corporate Sustainability Report and developments in non-financial information disclosure, international sustainability standards and practices in state-owned and energy-sector companies. At the 50th meeting of the OECD Corporate Governance Committee, Silva contributed to a session on capital markets development and regulatory proportionality in Latin America and presented Argentina’s inputs from a recent OECD–Latin America corporate governance roundtable in Santiago de Chile, including discussions on sustainable bonds and measures intended to support financing for growth-stage companies. Other agenda items referenced included the OECD Corporate Governance Factbook 2025, a peer review on capital market service providers focused on transparency and conflicts of interest, OECD work on artificial intelligence in corporate governance, and progress on draft Governance Guidelines for Corporate Bond Issuers aimed at strengthening bondholder protection and facilitating debt restructuring. Silva also pointed to CNV’s ongoing work with Argentina’s national government on the country’s formal accession to the OECD and alignment with international standards.
