Mexico's National Commission for the Protection and Defence of Users of Financial Services (CONDUSEF), in coordination with the National Institute of Indigenous Languages (INALI), launched a new section on its institutional portal offering financial education content in national indigenous languages to support financial inclusion and strengthen consumer protection. CONDUSEF cited national statistics showing 7.3 million indigenous-language speakers in Mexico and positioned the initiative as a way to provide clearer, more accessible guidance for users who face geographic, linguistic and service-access barriers. The materials are available in digital brochure and audio formats and cover topics including what CONDUSEF is, safe use of ATMs, security recommendations in case of ATM theft, and how to avoid fraud; content linked to Project Minerva is also included. Materials are available in Nawatlahtolli (Huasteca and Veracruz Nahuatl) and Tu’un Savi (Mixtec), with Project Minerva material available in P’urhepecha.
