The Central Bank of Luxembourg published the November 2025 results of its consumer survey, showing a marked improvement in consumer confidence, with the composite indicator rising to -5. The four seasonally adjusted components moved in opposite directions. Households sharply revised down expectations for the general economic situation in Luxembourg over the next 12 months (to -16) and more moderately lowered expectations for their own future financial situation (to -1). At the same time, perceptions of households’ past financial situation improved (to -1) and intentions to make major purchases increased strongly (to -1), described as a record rise. The confidence indicator is the arithmetic mean of the four balances, defined as the difference between the weighted shares expecting improvement and deterioration.
