The British Columbia Securities Commission announced that junior mineral exploration company Critical Reagent Processing Corp. has agreed to pay CAD 30,000 for violating Canadian disclosure standards for mineral projects. The company, a reporting issuer in British Columbia listed on the Canadian Securities Exchange, was formerly known as Graphite Energy Corporation when the misconduct occurred. A January 2018 news release on test results for its Lac Aux Bouleaux property in Quebec failed to include required information, including how the data was verified, information about 72 samples showing lower graphite percentages, an adequate interpretation of the exploration information, and the quality assurance program and quality control measures applied during testing. The release notes that the company has no prior history of regulatory or disciplinary proceedings and that none of its current management team were directors or officers at the time.
