The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) reported that its delegation, led by Governor Jasmina Selimović, held meetings with senior officials of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group during the Spring Meetings in Washington, D.C., covering macroeconomic trends, financial and monetary stability, and cooperation with the two institutions. Discussions with the IMF included a meeting with Deputy Managing Director Bo Li, where the CBBH set out its views on future economic developments amid geopolitical effects on the global economy, while the IMF highlighted the initiative to establish the South East Europe Technical Assistance Center (SEETAC) in Rome and requested active contributions from Bosnia and Herzegovina. IMF officials, including Alfred Kammer and Jeroen Clicq, linked SEETAC to expanded technical assistance, training and advisory support for Western Balkan countries and to strengthening institutional capacity in monetary policy, financial stability and supervision. Meetings with the World Bank Group, including Eugen Rhuggenaath and Antonella Bassani, focused on continued support for development projects and reforms, with the CBBH outlining capacity-building and financial sector modernisation work aimed at joining the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) and pointing to the role of the Reimbursable Advisory Services (RAS) project. The delegation indicated it will hold further bilateral meetings with other central banks and participate in sessions on financial education, digital fraud and related topics.
