The Ministry of Finance (Estonia), together with Eesti Pank, the Estonian Financial Supervisory Authority and the Estonian Banking Association, published the 2025 recipients of the Rahatarkuse Vedur recognition awards, highlighting five leaders and four initiatives promoting financial literacy and personal finance skills in Estonia. Awards were made across four categories, with Naisinvestorite Klubi recognised as “financial literacy promoter”, Helen Karus as “financial literacy teacher”, Marko Oolo as “financial literacy contributor”, and the Lääne-Viru County five-school financial literacy project as “financial literacy act”. Additional commendations went to Pesapuu counselling and training centre, Kaidi Kornak, Viivika Vilja, Marin Vallikivi, and Investingwomen/girlsmoneymind, described as a Russian-language women investors’ club. Organisers framed the event as a way to spotlight long-term, positive-impact work and stressed the importance of reaching groups most in need of financial literacy, including initiatives focused on increasing women’s participation in investing and improving financial coping among vulnerable target groups.
