The Central Bank of Estonia (Eesti Pank) announced it will release a silver collector coin dedicated to Estonian athletes competing at the XXV Olympic Winter Games in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo. A total of 3,000 coins have been minted, with a selling price of EUR 95 and a nominal (face) value of EUR 15. The coin will go on sale at 12:00 on 23 January via the Omniva online shop and the Eesti Pank museum shop. The design, by Merilin Pedastsaar and Priit Pedastsaar, uses an inclusion theme, featuring a boot-print in snow that also functions as a QR code linking to the Estonian Olympic Committee website, and Braille text spelling “Republic of Estonia” around the Estonian coat of arms. The coin was minted by the Lithuanian Mint; Eesti Pank noted it has issued 13 Olympic collector coins since 1992. Eesti Pank will present the coin at 13:00 on 23 January at the Hilton hotel conference centre in Tallinn at an invitation-only event hosted by the Estonian Olympic Committee and the Italian embassy, alongside a set of Olympic-themed postage stamps and a presentation of the Milano Cortina 2026 promotional campaign.
