The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, in cooperation with the Bank of Albania, opened the exhibition “Money Tells: 100 Years of Life and Events” at its premises in Pristina, presenting the evolution of Albanian money over a century and its role in economic, institutional and social development. Central Bank Governor Ahmet Ismaili, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Bank of Albania Governor Gent Sejko addressed the opening. Ismaili framed the exhibition as a reflection of monetary and institutional evolution and highlighted bilateral cooperation spanning regulatory harmonisation, strengthened supervisory capacity, financial education and institutional knowledge exchange, including reforms to modernise payment infrastructure through work towards integration into the Single Euro Payments Area and the development of fast payment systems. Kurti linked the exhibition to long-term institution-building and trust, while Sejko said it also captures everyday economic life through documents, objects, images and narratives. The exhibition follows its earlier presentation in Tirana as part of the centenary of the Bank of Albania and Albanian currency and will be open to a limited public at the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo during the week, coinciding with the week marking the 18th anniversary of Kosovo’s independence.
