The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo has met with International Monetary Fund (IMF) experts as part of IMF technical assistance to review and support the bank’s implementation of the IMF Central Bank Transparency Code, focusing on institutional governance and transparency through communication. The IMF mission, led by Arkadiusz Majewski, is expected to examine the design and operation of the central bank’s transparency practices, including how it communicates its policies, activities and results, and how it manages relationships with state institutions, the financial sector and the public. Work to date has included an institutional self-assessment and meetings with stakeholders, alongside the central bank’s presentation of recent governance developments and institutional reforms. During the mission’s stay in Kosovo, the review is intended to identify ways to assess and improve transparency practices under the IMF code, with the project framed as supporting stronger stakeholder engagement, accountability, and the effectiveness of monetary and financial policies.
