Estonia's Ministry of Finance has announced the recipients of the 2026 Rahatarkuse Vedur financial literacy awards, recognising individuals and organisations whose work has contributed to improving financial literacy in Estonia. The ceremony at the Bank of Estonia also included first-time prizes for youth creative and research work on financial literacy and the presentation of Financially Smart Employer labels to three organisations. The main awards went to Junior Achievement Estonia as financial literacy promoter for its more than 30 years of work on youth entrepreneurship and financial education, Kristiina Vaikmets as financial literacy teacher, and the Ministry of Social Affairs' pension literacy service as the financial literacy initiative. The Estonian Banking Association's financial education committee special prize went to the Teachers' financial literacy mentor club. First prizes in the inaugural youth competition were awarded across basic school, upper secondary and vocational education categories, while Bigbank AS, KPMG Baltics OÜ and Swedbank AS received Financially Smart Employer labels. The awards were held for the fourth time and were organised by the Ministry of Finance, the Bank of Estonia, the Estonian Financial Supervision and Resolution Authority and the Estonian Banking Association.
