The European Payments Council has launched a request for information to identify organisations interested in providing, operating and supporting a central platform for its Fraud Information Distribution Arrangement (FRIDA) Scheme, intended to support cross-scheme fraud information exchange for payment service providers across the Single Euro Payments Area and EPC schemes. The initiative is framed as preparation for the forthcoming European Union Payment Services Regulation, expected to enter into force in early 2028, which is set to strengthen anti-fraud requirements including enhanced transaction monitoring and fraud-data sharing by PSPs. The EPC is considering a central hub model for FRIDA that could be based on the open-source Malware Information Sharing Platform (MISP) or on alternative open-source or proprietary solutions. Information gathered through the RFI will be used to define the next steps for the project, with FRIDA envisaged as supporting PSPs and potentially other stakeholders under common rules, standards and practices. The RFI process runs from 28 January 2026 to 20 February 2026 at 18:00 CET. Interested candidates must request the RFI document via the EPC form before submitting their response by email.
