The Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) announced that board member Jos Heuvelman will leave the board when his second term ends on 1 September 2026. After stepping down, he will remain affiliated with the AFM for a further year, focusing mainly on international work to support effective supervision of financial markets. Heuvelman joined the AFM board on 1 September 2018 and has been responsible for supervision of the retail market, covering lending, saving, investing, insurance and pensions, as well as the AFM’s supervision of asset management. He also serves on the European Securities and Markets Authority’s Board of Supervisors and Managing Board, chairs the Senior Supervisors Forum, and is involved with the “Wijzer in Geldzaken” initiative.
