The Brazilian Superintendence of Private Insurance participated in the 18th Insurance and Pensions Law Congress in Rio de Janeiro on 12–13 March, with directors Carlos Queiroz, Jéssica Bastos and Júlia Normande Lins joining panels on adapting to Brazil’s new Insurance Contract Law and its impacts across insurance and reinsurance. The authority also flagged that continuing the regulatory implementation of Law No. 15.040/2024 is included in its 2026 Regulation Plan as a high-priority topic. Júlia Normande Lins spoke in a session on adaptation for life and bodily integrity insurance, Jéssica Bastos contributed to a panel on regulation and claims settlement, and Carlos Queiroz participated in a debate on large-risk insurance and reinsurance alongside market participants and industry associations.
