At an event marking the 10th anniversary of Georgia’s Accounting, Reporting and Auditing Supervision Service, National Bank of Georgia President Natia Turnava reviewed the service’s reforms and emphasized the role of reliable, transparent financial reporting in supporting informed decisions, financial stability and economic development. She said high quality financial information strengthens trust among investors, creditors, financial institutions, regulators and the public. Turnava also highlighted the institutions’ expanding cooperation, including a 2020 agreement to improve coordination concerning public securities issuers. Joint initiatives include Reportal.ge, which allows issuers to publish reports and other regulated information through a single portal, and the Best Annual Report and Transparency Award, which promotes corporate reporting quality and transparency.
