The Ukraine National Commission on Securities and Stock Market approved all 49 items on its agenda, including positions on draft legislation covering private pension provision, simplified value-added tax administration and the involvement of a strategic foreign investor in Ukraine’s capital markets infrastructure. The strategic investor measure continues earlier legislative work on consolidating key market infrastructure and attracting foreign participation. The Commission also approved draft changes concerning enforcement proceedings, depositary institution reporting, collective investment institutions and financial monitoring. A new information exchange procedure will govern how depositary institutions provide state and private enforcement bodies with information about debtors’ accounts and securities. Other decisions addressed securities issuance registrations, the eligibility of a market participant, appointments at regulated firms and revisions to the Commission’s 2026 rulemaking plan.
