Brazilian Superintendence of Private Insurance schedules board meeting to deliberate on broker, mutualist protection and sanctions rule proposals

The Brazilian Superintendence of Private Insurance (SUSEP) will hold its fifth ordinary Board of Directors meeting of 2026 online on 25 March 2026 at 14:30, with a live broadcast on SUSEP’s YouTube channel, to deliberate on draft regulations affecting insurance distribution, mutualist property protection operations, insurance cooperatives, and the sanctions framework. The agenda includes a draft CNSP resolution on brokers for insurance, mutualist property protection, capitalization and open private pension, as well as on self-regulatory entities in the brokerage market and accredited education institutions for broker training or qualification exams. The board will also consider draft CNSP resolutions setting general rules for Mutualist Property Protection Operations and regulating insurance operations carried out by Insurance Cooperative Societies under Decree-Law 73/1966 as amended by Complementary Law 213/2025. In addition, a draft CNSP resolution would revoke and replace CNSP Resolution 393/2020, alongside four draft SUSEP resolutions that would revoke and replace Circulars 547/2017, 645/2021, 646/2021 and 709/2024 on the sanctions regime.
