The National Securities and Stock Market Commission of Ukraine reported that Chair Oleksii Semeniuk met representatives of the International Organisation of Pension Supervisors to discuss practical steps toward restoring Ukraine’s full participation in the organization. The talks also covered cooperation on supervision of voluntary pension provision, including the use of international principles to strengthen risk management, protect pension savings and improve fund transparency. The engagement supports the commission’s ongoing overhaul of voluntary pension regulation. Draft law No. 15570, registered in Ukraine’s parliament on Aug. 28 and developed with the relevant parliamentary committee, would strengthen requirements for fund governance, risk management systems and operational transparency.
