The Bank of Cape Verde is surveying how citizens use payment instruments to support implementation of the Instant and Inclusive Transfer System, a national digital public infrastructure for instant and inclusive payments. The study will assess the potential adoption of instant payment solutions and inform services tailored to households and businesses. The survey covers the use of cash, payment cards, bank transfers, checks, mobile payments and other electronic methods. It seeks to identify payment preferences, factors driving cash use and opportunities to expand digital payments. Public participation remains open through Sept. 25, 2026.
