The National Bank of Georgia and the Astana Financial Services Authority signed a memorandum of understanding to facilitate mutual access and recognition between Georgia’s securities market and the Astana International Financial Centre. The framework is intended to make it easier for financial institutions and other market participants to provide services across the two jurisdictions while complying with each market’s legal and regulatory requirements. The authorities will develop practical mechanisms for mutual market access and strengthen supervisory cooperation and information sharing to support cross-border activity. The agreement builds on their 2018 memorandum, moving the relationship from general regulatory cooperation toward operational links between the two securities markets.
