The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) published Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) ratings assigned in August 2026 to 36 state nonmember banks. Thirty-two received satisfactory ratings and four were rated outstanding. As with the July 2026 ratings, no bank in the latest list received a rating below satisfactory. The four institutions rated outstanding were Hills Bank and Trust Company, Balboa Thrift and Loan Association, First Federal Savings Bank of Washington and Bay Bank. CRA assessments examine banks’ records of meeting their communities’ credit needs, including those of neighborhoods with low and moderate incomes, consistent with safe and sound operations. Banks must make their individual CRA evaluations available upon request.
