The Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic hosted a meeting of finance ministers and central or national bank heads from Shanghai Cooperation Organisation member states at the Ala-Archa state residence. Discussions focused on development of the international financial system, stronger financial cooperation within the organisation, implementation of monetary policy, and measures to maintain financial stability in member states. Participants also reviewed progress in consultations on establishing a Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Development Bank and on further improving the organisation’s financial infrastructure. Delegations from Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan attended in person, while Russia and Pakistan delivered their presentations online. The meeting concluded with the parties signing a final protocol.
