The Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan reported that the fourth consultation meeting on establishing the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Development Bank was held in Shenzhen on June 29-30. The meeting continued substantive discussions on the bank's main directions, reviewed further work plans and confirmed participants' readiness to continue the consultation process. The session was co-chaired by China's Vice Minister of Finance Liao Min and Kyrgyzstan's Deputy Finance Minister Nurbek Akzholov. It was attended by delegations from 28 states and representatives of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Secretariat. The ministry said the work follows the political consensus reached at the 25th meeting of the Council of Heads of State of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation member states in Tianjin on Sept. 1, 2025, where interested member states reaffirmed the importance of the bank, decided to establish it and agreed to intensify consultations on issues related to its operations.
