The United Arab Emirates Higher Committee Overseeing the National Strategy on Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism and Proliferation Financing approved the National Proliferation Financing Risk Assessment. It also established a mechanism to update the national anti-money laundering and counterterrorist financing risk assessment and the national strategy every three years, supporting regular reassessment of evolving risks and related preventive and supervisory measures. The committee instructed national teams to prepare for the Financial Action Task Force mutual evaluation, including work related to the Effectiveness Report covering the 11 Immediate Outcomes and technical and organizational preparations for an on-site visit in June. Authorities confiscated AED 5.4 billion in assets during 2025, while 377 individuals were extradited between 2022 and the end of 2025.
